This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and performance of products used in demanding aerospace applications. The ideal candidate combines strong technical inspection skills with a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to producing exceptional work. Key Responsibilities Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, blueprints, and inspection instructions Inspect raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods for conformance to specifications Perform detailed visual inspections and dimensional checks Utilize measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Inspect plastic injection molded components for cosmetic and dimensional accuracy Conduct functional testing of assemblies and components Document inspection results and maintain organized quality records Identify and segregate nonconforming materials and products Communicate findings clearly to production and engineering teams Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action efforts Support quality policies, procedures, and work instructions Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of two years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing inspection Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills Experience performing visual inspections to defined appearance standards Knowledge of plastic injection molding and molded part inspection preferred Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers highly desirable Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Background Candidates with experience in aerospace, automotive, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments are especially encouraged to apply.
