Job Description

Position summary The Quality Inspector / Auditor will visually inspect molded plastic parts and perform dimensional verification using a variety of precision measuring instruments and advanced inspection equipment. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced injection molding environment, solving problems in real time, and supporting production through hands-on quality assurance activities. Key responsibilities
  • Follow standardized procedures for in-process and final inspections across a wide variety of customized parts and assemblies.
  • Verify part quality against work order specifications to generate accurate inspection reports.
  • Proficient with a broad range of inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, thread gages, plug gages, dial indicators, height gages, bore gages, and Faro Arm (portable CMM).
  • Perform in-process audits on the production floor, conducting dimensional inspections and ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Train operators and technicians on quality requirements and inspection techniques
  • Document and plot inspection data on a computer.
  • Identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw and present valid conclusions. Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or similar industry. Specific Skills
  • Capable of working independently and being self-reliant in some problem-solving and troubleshooting situations.
  • Maintain professional working relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and enjoy working in a team setting.
  • Verify inspection of each job and accurately record and plot inspection results
  • Moves testing equipment, including pushing/pulling/reaching over head up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (preferred)
