Our 75,000 square ft. facility houses over 150 types of equipment specializing in short to medium run metal fabrication of precision parts. The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality, customer confidence, and regulatory compliance at HSI Manufacturing. This position supports all production processes through routine inspection of in-process and finished goods, helping to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. Working cross-functionally, the Quality Inspector collaborates with teams across the organization to identify issues, support audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding ofISO 9001
2015 processes and the ability to consistently apply and enforce those standards. Through effective communication and problem-solving, the Quality Inspector helps maintain accountability and champions solutions that ensure only the highest quality parts reach our customers.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine inspection of in-process and finished goods according to company standards, customer specifications and any applicable regulatory standards.
- Document inspection data accurately and consistently.
- Completes final inspection to authorize shipments.
- Contacts customer to discuss in-process parts and submits deviation requests when necessary.
- Creates NCR's and CAPAR's and participates in root cause analysis.
- Manages calibration program ensuring all tools, whether shop or personal, are calibrated.
- Familiarty with
FAI, PPAP, REACH, ROHS CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Associates degree or 2-4 years of equivalent experience.
- Must be able to read blueprints, knowledge of GD&T a plus.
- Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges.
- CMM and Keyence experience highly desired.
- Strong attention to detail is critical with a high degree of organization.
- Effective and professional communicator.
SALARY/RATE D.O.E. WORK HOURS
Monday - Thursday 6:00-4:30 Friday 6:00 -11:00 as needed for overtimeBenefits:
