Job Description

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Purpose:
Perform inspections and tests on incoming, in process and finished product to ensure product requirements are being met throughout the manufacturing process. Assist in development of APQP and PPAP documents to include PFMEA's tracking and documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities :
Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program. May assist Engineering and Quality Engineers with development of APQP, PFMEA and PPAP documents May assist with PPAP submittals and interface with the Quality and Engineering on results and corrective actions. May assist with Statistical Process Control development and data collection with identified key processes. May develop part specific Zeiss/CMM programs. May train Inspectors and Supervisor on basic Zeiss/CMM parts specific operations. May review and evaluate gauging and participate in continuous improvement activities and gage design. Knowledge of Quality System processes and procedures Accurately complete reports and all necessary paper work for the jobs Ability to regularly meet or exceed efficiency requirements Actively participates in CIP events to improve the safety, quality, and efficiencies of our current processes and procedures Support and positively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement Communicates with supervisor and co-workers in a professional manner Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience :
High school diploma or GED preferred Manufacturing experience in die casting inspection desired but not required
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to follow work instructions Must be detail oriented, with the ability to recognize defects and non-conformities Proficient in the use of mechanical inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no go gauges, and other mechanical inspection equipment Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings including GD&T Knowledge of the CMM and its operations Ability to use X-Ray machine Regular attendance Physical Demands Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, rarely lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand up to 100% of shift Ability to do repetitive movements (i.e. bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs)
