Job Title:
Quality Technician Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Quality Technician to ensure that all incoming components are inspected according to standard operating procedures and customer requirements. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality standards of our products and supporting our growth trajectory. Responsibilities Conduct evaluations of incoming materials to ensure alignment with defined standards and specifications. Verify that final products and packaging meet predetermined quality benchmarks. Adhere to established operational protocols, procedural guidelines, and testing frameworks. Maintain accurate records of inspection outcomes and relevant data within designated tracking systems. Identify and address deviations from quality expectations through formal escalation procedures. Facilitate communication and sample/data exchange with external stakeholders when necessary. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating inefficiencies. Apply structured problem-solving tools to implement lasting enhancements. Uphold organizational standards for cleanliness, order, and consistency across workspaces using a five-principle system. Perform other work as assigned. Essential Skills Experience in quality assurance, GMP, inspection, quality inspection, quality check, SOP, internal audit, visual inspection, and production. High school diploma required. Experience or exposure to working within Quality. Proficiency in English reading and writing. Internal auditing and inspection experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's degree in chemistry, biology, or related science discipline. GMP experience from food, cosmetics, chemical manufacturing, pharma, or medical device industries. Bilingual skills would be a significant advantage. Prior quality assurance/quality control exposure. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Critical thinking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Email systems). Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Work Environment The position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, first shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Initially based at the Chaska facility, the role will transition to a new facility in Shakopee by the end of April. The work environment features a diverse manufacturing setting with exposure to a range of products, including beauty and personal care items. This role involves frequent standing and walking, occasional bending, lifting, and working at a computer. The facility is indoors and may experience seasonal temperature variations and elevated fragrance levels. Moderate to high demands for meeting deadlines are expected, with the possibility of work hours extending beyond the typical workday as required by business needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
