Opens a new window. The Quality Assurance role at Reardon Machine is responsible for ensuring that machined parts and assemblies meet all customer, engineering, and internal quality requirements. This position supports precision manufacturing by performing inspections, maintaining documentation, and driving continuous improvement across machining, fabrication, and finishing processes. There will also be forklift operation, process monitoring and annual qualification of employee tools. --- Key Responsibilities Inspection & Testing Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of machined components. Use precision measuring equipment such as: o Calipers and micrometers o Height gauges o Optical comparators o CMM (if applicable) o Go/No-Go gauges Verify parts against engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications. Documentation & Compliance Accurately complete inspection reports, first article inspections (FAI), SPC charts, and nonconformance reports (NCR). Maintain quality records in accordance with ISO 9001 or applicable quality system requirements. Review and control revisions of drawings and specifications. Nonconformance & Corrective Action Identify, document, and communicate quality issues to production and management. Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Assist in disposition of nonconforming material (rework, scrap, or acceptance). Process Improvement & Support Work closely with machinists, supervisors, and engineering to prevent defects. Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and repeatability. Assist with internal audits, customer audits, and supplier quality issues as needed. Safety & Housekeeping Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized inspection area.
