G8MR Hawthorn Children's Psychiatric Hospital provides specialized care for children and adolescents diagnosed with mental illness. This position reports to the Quality Management department and is responsible for evaluating and assessing current practices to identify treatment alternatives and strategies for the delivery of programs and individualized services, reporting evaluation and assessment findings and preparing corrective action recommendations to management for approval. Hawthorn Children's Psychiatric Hospital uses the Sanctuary Model to guide our interactions with our teammates and the care we provide to our consumers in order to promote healing, safety, and nonviolence. This is accomplished by following the Foundation of Sanctuary•The Four Pillars of (1) Trauma Theory, (2) Seven Commitments, (3) S.E.L.F. (Safety, Emotion, Loss, and Future), (4)
Sanctuary Tool Kit Responsibilities :
Review and classify incident reports based on standardized definitions and critical, non-biased evaluation Classification of injuries Maintain a record of all Special Procedure (Restraint and Seclusion) paperwork, and regularly audit paperwork to ensure it meets CMS and Joint Commission requirements Review data monthly, and complete data submissions to outside agencies such as NRI, The Joint Commission and CMS Facilitates Quality Council Analyzes data and develops reports to relevant facilities or departments based on current needs Provides data to leaders through Governing Body (triannual), Scorecard Analysis (quarterly), and discuss the Non-Core Comparative Statistics report (monthly) Data abstraction for discharged clients Works with leaders to identify trends, draw meaningful conclusions, and develop corrective action plans from data Provides support to departments for CIMOR data and questions Other duties as assigned Required skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; Desired skills:
SQL, Microsoft Access, Tableau Eligibility :
Master's degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed) For internal candidates, no disciplinary action during the previous 12 months
