Job Description

If you take pride in getting things right the first time and believe quality should be built in not inspected in at the end. We're looking for a hands-on Quality Inspector who enjoys being close to the product, the process, and the people who make it all happen.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for a wide range of inspection functions across organization including: Approve incoming materials: confirm specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, and reject unacceptable materials in accordance with Stark Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and Policy as well as customer requirements.
Approve in-process production:
confirm specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to production supervisor and personnel.
Approve finished products:
confirm specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, issue COC's, return products for re-work and confirming re-work.
Document inspection results:
complete reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality database. Issue, review and validate product non-conformances. Review quality procedures and engineering requirements. Recommend adjustments to the receiving, assembly, production and/or shipping processes. Train and mentor personnel in the importance of building quality into the product. Issue nonconformances; review and assist in validating corrective action plans for nonconformance issues. Perform First Article Inspection and documentation. Provide technical support. Provide timely support of identified issues. Provide oversight for production equipment maintenance and inspection. Maintain various tracking spreadsheets e.g.: approved vendors, calibrated tools, etc. Conduct/assist with internal and external Quality Management System audits as required. Contribute to a team environment resulting in effective communication between Quality Department and Production. Other duties as assigned. Travel as needed.
Education and Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED. Two years working in an environment with a documented quality management system. Two years production inspection experience or relative work experience qualifying individual to conduct inspection work, including dimensional inspections using standard precision measuring equipment, visual inspection techniques, and basic shop math. Understanding of unique subjects as defined in engineering documents, drawings, standards, quality requirements, etc. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word Experience in electro optics assembly environment and with ESD sensitive parts. Experience in an
ISO9001/AS9100
certified aerospace company.
