Job Description

Position Title:
Storeroom Technician -
Columbus Mill Pay Rate:
$22.48/hour starting pay + a $14 weekly scheduling premium
Category/Shift:
Monday-Friday (4 of the 5 days) 10 hour shifts 7am-5:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period
About The Role:
The Storeroom Technician is an entry level role that provides continuous materials/inventory support and management for Optimization, Process, Manufacturing Support and Administrative Teams.
About You:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Duties include, but are not limited to: 1. Inventory management control (stage, kit, order, receiving, shipping, catalog, location I.D., stock, re-order, issue, etc.). 2. Maintains material inventory systems. 3. SAP Materials - duties include but are not limited to: a. Assist setting up new inventory items b. Assist converting temporary numbers to IP standard material numbers c. Set up/assign bin locations 4.
Continuous inventory improvement:
addition, reduction, change, and disposal. 5. Maintains cost effective and efficient service to all areas of the mill. 6. Maintains equipment - daily checklists. 7. Operates mobile equipment as necessary, i.e. delivery cart, fork truck, company delivery/pick-up truck, etc. 8. Assists with maintaining Repairable Assets - duties include but are not limited to: a. Work with Management, Planners, and Process Owners to determine where equipment should be shipped for repairs. b. Maintain status report of all repairable assets. The report should include the item #, its current physical location, its status (pending approval, waiting on core, waiting to be shipped, currently being repaired, etc….) c. Maintain tagging system for items coming in as repairable and repairable assets areas. d. Prepare for and arrange for the shipment of repairable assets as needed 9. Maintains Stores security procedures (instruction and enforcement). 10. Reconciles P-card activity. 11. Coaches safety in others and leads by example. 12. Understands and meets internal and external customer requirements. 13. Develops, maintains, and uses reliable methods for all processes and their improvements. 14. Fullfill area specific 5S expectations(5 Minute 5S Checklists, replenishment of tools and supplies, 5S Audits,etc). 15. Assists other team members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality. 16. Maintains and develops team relationships. 17. Develops cross-functional process skills. 18. Flows to work as needed. 19. Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) related to the tasks. Physical Demands/Working Environment 20. Must be able to wear all required safety equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, and fall protection in elevated positions 21. Heat in excess of 100 F or Cold below 0 F 22. Occasionally ascends/descends stairs, ladders. 23. Frequent walking and standing. 24.
Lifting:
Up to 50 pounds. 25.
Carrying:
Periodically tools and equipment. 26.
Other:
Upper body mobility in order to drive forklift. 27. Some assignments require kneeling, crouching and twisting while handling Stores inventory. Key Knowledge and Experience
MINIMUM 28.
Ability to work in a HWPS team environment. 29. Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control methods and procedures. 30. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. 31. Good understanding of reconciliation process. 32. Proven record of Safe Work Practices. 33. Mechanical aptitude. 34. Customer focused. 35. Working knowledge of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office and SAP). 36. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 37. Broad knowledge of manufacturing equipment and parts.
PREFERRED 38.
Experience with SAP. 39. General accounting knowledge for inventory and P-Card reconciliation. 40. Two to three years stores or warehouse/receiving experience. 41. Forklift Operator's Certification or equivalent experience 42. Experience in a team-based, customer and quality focused organization. 43. Knowledge of and leadership in mill safety practices. 44. Excellent computer skills.
