Wiring Technician Job Description Join our team as a Wiring Technician, specializing in chiller and controls products ranging from 150 to 550 tons. You will play a crucial role in determining all aspects of unit performance, reporting on specific unit types, conducting performance testing, and assembling control panels with precision. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. Responsibilities Perform point-to-point wiring and component installation, including circuit breakers, relays, power supplies, and PLCs. Route and secure wiring neatly to ensure proper function and compliance with safety standards. Conduct quality checks and functional testing of panels before final installation. Troubleshoot and resolve wiring or component issues to ensure proper operation. Contribute to risk assessments and health and safety investigations. Assist Technical Support with site visits and customer end-of-line witness tests. Involve in quality investigations and structured problem-solving using tools and methodologies. Engage with other departments in problem-solving investigations. Handle all aspects of testing requirements, including pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and performance testing. Participate in electrical component testing, mechanical/electrical installations, and testing design at required waterflows and pressure drops. Build test rigs and assist with test plans. Essential Skills Experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices for electrical work. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large, non-temperature controlled plant environment. Be prepared to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50lbs non-repetitively, and stoop as necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grenada, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
