Engineering Inspection Technician Atalys, LLC - 4.0 Asheboro, NC Job Details Full-time $21.08 - $37.79 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Measurement-based inspection Dimensional measurements Parts drawings Holding fixtures proficiency Precision measurement in machining Productivity software Full Job Description Position Summary Provides inspection reports to determine adherence to drawings, specifications, processing procedures and adequacy of the facility to ensure quality of manufactured product by use of CMMs, SmartScopes and other applicable measurement equipment. Provides required dimensional results for completion of PPAP process for new tooling. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform first article inspections/layouts meeting PPAP and SCR requirements to validate new tooling and tooling modifications. Program Optical Inspection Equipment (Micro-Vu, SmartScope) and CMM's (PCDMIS) Create detailed work instruction for inspectors to measure critical dimensions during production. Perform capability studies for
IQ/OQ/PQ
requirements. Perform Gage R & R studies This job description indicates the general nature and level of work, duties and responsibilities expected of the incumbent. The incumbent may be asked to perform other duties as required. The job description may be changed if needed as determined by the Company. Required Competencies, Skills and Experience Minimum five (5) years proven experience Print reading, GD&T Standards required Knowledge of general measurement equipment (gage pins, micrometers, Vernier, calipers, drop indicator, etc.) CMM experience preferred PCDMIS experience preferred OGP SmartScope / Micro-Vu experience preferred QC-Calc experience preferred Proficient MS Office skills Fixture development and datum structure understanding Education and Job Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Work Environment Regularly required to sit and use hands Occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with a potential of up to 25 pounds. Sedentary, office environment; frequent exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.) and following good manufacturing practices.
