Utilize hand gages and basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gages, thickness gages, radius gages, etc.) to verify dimensional characteristics. Review and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T basics, weld symbols, notes, and specifications, including customer and military standards where applicable. Accurately record inspection results and maintain objective evidence required for audit readiness and customer review. Communicate inspection findings effectively with production, quality, and engineering personnel to support corrective action and defect prevention. Support first article inspections (FAI) and source inspection activities as required. Adhere to all quality system requirements (e.g., ISO 9001) and applicable defense contract requirements (DFARS flow downs as applicable).
