Job Description

Position Summary The Quality Technician supports the Quality Manager in the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with
ISO 9001
2015 and TL 9000 (current release) requirements. . This role is responsible for maintaining controlled quality documentation, supporting internal and external audits, ensuring certification compliance, and providing day‑to‑day quality support on the production floor. The Quality Technician plays a key role in process compliance, audit readiness, packaging governance, labeling compliance, and standardization to meet customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the QMS in alignment with
ISO 9001
2015 and TL 9000 requirements. Maintain controlled documentation, including procedures, records, forms, Work Instructions (WIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Process Lists (SPLs), in accordance with document control requirements. Support document change requests through the established change management process. Conduct routine quality audits of production areas, packaging processes, and material handling activities to verify compliance with documented procedures. Assist with internal audits and preparation for external
ISO/TL 9000
surveillance, recertification, and customer audits. Provide documentation, records, and on‑site support during audits. Document audit findings, nonconformances, and opportunities for improvement; communicate results to the Quality Manager. Support and, when assigned, lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities, including tracking, effectiveness verification, and closure. Assist in tracking quality objectives, KPIs, and required quality metrics. Develop, review, and maintain packaging specifications, packaging work instructions, and packaging standards to ensure consistency and compliance. Review and approve packaging and labeling changes in alignment with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Customer Support to support new product launches, customer onboarding, and process or labeling changes. Support training efforts by ensuring quality system documentation is current, accurate, and accessible; assist with training delivery as needed. Promote a culture of quality, standard work, risk‑based thinking, and continuous improvement throughout the facility Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or some college coursework preferred. 2-4 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Operations support roles. Experience working within a certified quality system (ISO 9001 and/or TL 9000). Experience authoring or maintaining Work Instructions and SOPs in a controlled document system Working knowledge of quality concepts, audits, and corrective action processes. Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy. Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate effectively. Ability to bend, twist, reach above and below, and lift up to 25 lbs
Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
