Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Inspector to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards by performing detailed inspections and audits throughout the production process. Your keen eye for detail and strong understanding of quality systems will help maintain our reputation for excellence, compliance with industry regulations, and continuous improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of brazed assemblies. Inspect brazed joints for defects such as voids, incomplete fill, cracks, overheating, misalignment, or contamination. Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Perform in‑process, final, and first‑article inspections as required. Documentation& Reporting Accurately document inspection results, measurements, and defect findings. Complete inspection records, nonconformance reports, and travelers. Identify, segregate, and tag nonconforming material. Support traceability and record retention requirements. Standard & Compliance Inspect brazed assemblies in accordance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable standards (e.g., AWS, ISO, AS9100 as applicable) Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections. Ensure inspection tools and gauges are within calibration. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Communicate quality issues clearly to production, engineering, and supervision. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts. Provide feedback to production to prevent repeat defects. Support lean, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Safety & Housekeeping Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Maintain clean and organized inspection work areas. Properly handle and store inspected parts and documentation. Key Skills & Competencies Detail‑oriented and quality‑focused mindset. Strong visual acuity and manual inspection skills. Effective written and verbal communication. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem‑solving and analytical thinking. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience inspecting brazed assemblies or heat‑based joining processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications. Familiarity with common inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, magnification tools) Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Knowledge of metallurgical defects related to brazing. Experience with aerospace, HVAC, automotive, or industrial components. Work Enviroment Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, industrial equipment, and brazing operations. Requires standing, walking, bending, and handling parts. Use of PPE required.
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
