Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Metrology Technician to join our production team and ensure the highest standards of component precision. You will leverage your technical expertise in coordinate measurement and manual inspection to validate complex parts, directly impacting the quality and reliability of our final products. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive dimensional inspections to verify that manufactured components strictly adhere to engineering specifications. Develop and refine CMM programs to automate measurement processes and improve throughput. Utilize advanced hand metrology tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, to perform precise manual checks. Analyze complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings to determine optimal inspection methodologies. Document inspection results accurately to maintain rigorous quality assurance records. Collaborate with production staff to troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing accuracy. Required Skills Proven experience in a quality inspection or metrology role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and GD&T standards. Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain precision measurement equipment. Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail-oriented documentation. Preferred Skills Advanced proficiency in programming and operating CMM equipment, specifically using PC-DMIS software. Deep understanding of manual machining processes and their impact on part tolerances. Experience in high-precision environments where accuracy is critical to operational success. Ability to pass standard background and health screenings as required by site protocols.
