Job Description

Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician Hours:
Monday-Thursday (7am - 5pm) Workforce Unlimited is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician to support quality control and testing activities within one of our clients. This role is responsible for evaluating yarn and fabric quality, conducting laboratory testing, maintaining quality records, and supporting compliance with industry and aviation standards within a textile manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform color evaluations, physical testing, and inspections of yarns, fabrics, and production samples. Conduct first article inspections (FAIs) and FAA flammability testing for aviation textiles. Review materials and components for compliance with specifications and quality standards. Maintain testing records, quality data, and inventory information in company systems. Support internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives in accordance with
ISO/AS9100
standards. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements. Assist with quality reporting, procedure updates, and cross-functional problem-solving activities. Work seldom Fridays (Overtime) Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in textile manufacturing, laboratory testing, or quality control preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish color variations accurately. Basic computer skills and ability to interpret technical specifications. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and work in a laboratory/manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
