Job Description Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician (Supplier Quality) is essential in driving continuous improvement, managing supplier claims, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with
ISO 9001
standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and interpersonal skills, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence. Pressing suppliers for higher quality is a must and will improve the overall Quality of our facility. Responsibilities Manage and resolve supplier claims and internal non-conformances Primary point of contact for suppliers, building and maintaining effective working relationships through regular communication and meetings Conduct supplier quality audits and on-site visits, when applicable Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement Maintain supplier performance metrics and and documentation Investigate and process internal Quality Notifications (QN's). Complete customer certifications when delivery notes are available, when applicable Complete Supplier deviations when applicable Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Assist in maintaining and improving internal quality standards and procedures Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
standards and company quality policies Participate in internal audits and support external audit readiness Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with quality procedures Utilize SAP for quality-related transactions, reporting, and tracking Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities Prepare reports and presentations for management and cross-functional teams on a weekly basis Other tasks, as assigned by management Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Some college coursework in Quality, Engineering, or related field preferred 2-5+ years of experience leading and coordinating operational work, demonstrating adaptability, strong ownership, and frequent collaboration with external partners. Experience preferably gained from manufacturing, service operations, or small-business environments. Strong knowledge of
ISO 9001
