Job Description

Summary/Objectives:
The quality technician position is responsible for supporting the Senior Quality Technicians in performing activities related to PPAPs, calibration, validations of fixtures and tooling, audits and inspections and providing training and guidance to Product Quality Auditors. PPAP Administration to AIAG and Customer Specific Requirements. APQP Team Support as quality representative for quality.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the preparation of PPAP Packages as required to meet AIAG as well as customer specific requirements. Works with plant buyer to maintain and submit IMDS. Maintains customer portals for PPAPs and deviations. Maintains PPAP log to ensure timely submissions. Provide Production and Engineering team process capability studies as requested. Performs Quality Audits of the Production Products/Process as required and provides reports of results to the Management Team. Complies and maintains quality records/reports in preparation for quality and management meetings. Documents sequence changes as needed to meet requirements. Support when needed in performing validation or calibration for Fixtures and Tooling including all documentation required for this function. Perform training and guidance to Quality Product Auditors as required. Responsible for assisting in continuous improvement initiatives, training and development. Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. Communicate with other departments as necessary. Keep work areas clean and organized. Adhere to all company rules and policies. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Key performance metrics:
Annual part layout and fixture gage validations, Past Due Calibrations, PPAPs on Time, Daily Audits.
