Job Description A Quality Inspector is responsible for completing the following duties: Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, reject and return unacceptable materials Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, communicate required adjustments to the Production Supervisor Approve finished products by confirming specifications, return products for re-work and confirm re-work Document inspection results by completing reports and logs Summarize re-work and waste, input all data into a Quality Database Maintain measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements. Schedule repair and/or maintenance as needed Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures and complying with legal regulations. Expand job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications Other duties as assigned Qualifications Blueprint reading skills Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers and other measuring instruments Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent listening skills Comfortable with computers Strong organization skills Exercise effective time management skills Basic Math skills Analytical thinking skills Strong documentation skills Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers and other measuring instruments One to two years quality inspection experience
