Quality Assurance Technician Great Plains Beef - 2.4 Lincoln, NE Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Life insurance Qualifications Food production Computer operation Food processing plant Manufacturing facility Math Organizational skills Computer skills Time management Full Job Description Great Plains Beef—a fast-growing beef company in Lincoln, Nebraska—is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician to help maintain high production, quality, and yields at its state-of-the-art further processing beef production facility. Possible duties may include, but are not limited to, HACCP record keeping and compliance, pre-operation procedures, thermometer calibration, scale verification, production temperature tracking, product audits including weights and pack specs, and updating yield tracking and production reports. Additional tasks may include supporting the manufacturing process, including moving product from station to station, operating packing machinery, creating and checking labels, and tracking materials usage. Some experience or education in meat fabrication and food safety preferred. Basic computer skills, high attention to details, and strong communication skills are needed to be successful in this position. Assume other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Able to work with computers, including inventory software, database and other systems
  • Good organizational skills, time management, and mathematical skills
  • Able to lift 50lbs occasionally
  • Able to work in refrigerated and freezer units for extended periods of time
  • Hard working
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexible and open to change
  • Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment
  • Able to learn quickly, embrace responsibility and accept accountability
  • Valid driver's license Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.
