This role is responsible for verifying that all fabricated parts and assemblies meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and internal quality standards. The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring product integrity by identifying defects, validating dimensions, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the shop floor. This position works closely with production and engineering teams to maintain consistency, accuracy, and overall manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces Inspect finished sheet metal parts and assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications Use precision measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances Perform inspections using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) as needed Identify non-conforming products and communicate findings to production and engineering teams Collaborate with engineers and team members to optimize production processes and improve quality outcomes Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation Qualifications Experience in quality inspection within a sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environment Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Familiarity with CMM equipment and inspection processes Solid math skills for measurements and calculations Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for career growth and advancement Supportive, team-oriented work environment
