Job Description

DEKA is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Engineering Service Technician to help keep our medical devices and test equipment running smoothly. In this role, you'll work with different groups across the company to solve problems, dig into root causes, and maintain documentation. How you will make an impact: Maintain a fleet of medical devices (including all relevant test equipment) to designated design configurations Work with various departments on the program to solve problems and find solutions Must be able to create and maintain documentation using current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Conduct failure and root cause analysis of product and document findings in a project database Perform and document inspections of medical devices and their components according to company plans and procedures Perform and document periodic verification on test and calibration fixtures in accordance with established procedures to support medical device functional testing Skills needed to be successful in this role: Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical field Minimum associates degree in any engineering discipline preferred Electro-mechanical aptitude, the ability to diagnose problems and see the solutions through to completion Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing Computer skills must include the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Must have the ability to understand and follow established manufacturing Operating Procedures (OP) in the service process, and work within a Quality Management System (QMS) Familiarity with JIRA or similar system Ability to utilize tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, and other measurement equipment
