Job Description

We are currently looking for folks that share our passion to reveal the invisible! The Quality Control Inspector will be supporting the manufacture of commercial and high reliability InGaAs and Germanium photodetectors. This position involves working in a microelectronics manufacturing environment performing quality related functions including external pre-cap/seal visual inspection, documentation review, simple electrical measurements, and data entry. This full-time, non-exempt role will be located in Salem, NH and will report to the Director of Quality.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong collaboration, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to foster collaborative, cross department relationships to meet common objectives.
  • Problem solving ability with an organized & analytical approach.
  • Mentor and train QA Specialists on various processes.
  • Participate in maintaining quality system processes (Deviations, CAPA, audit findings).
  • Knowledge of quality sampling plans.
  • ESD Controls, Cleanroom Protocols, and Safety Procedures.
  • Microelectronics Training.
  • ERP systems experience, preferred, but not required.
  • Low & High Power Visual Inspection to MIL-STD-883, Method 2010.
  • Hybrid Internal Visual Inspection to MIL-STD-883, Method 2017.
  • Package Inspection to MIL-STD-883, Method 2009.
  • Printed Circuit Inspection to IPC-A-600, preferred, but not required
  • Solder inspection to IPC-A-610., preferred, but not required
SECONDARY SKILLS
o High Power Digital Microscopes o Mechanical Inspection Gauges o Digital Multimeter/Picoammeter o Bond Pull/Die Shear Gauges o Die Shear Testing to MIL-STD-883, Method 2019 o Wire bond Testing to MIL-STD-883, Method 2011 and 2023 EDUCATION, REQUIREMENTS
AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school degree, or equivalent
  • Manufacturing experience: 3 years
MISC:
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • These activities are performed in a clean room environment which is temperature and humidity controlled.
  • This position requires you to wear complete fab attire for an entire shift and meet all safety and cleanroom requirements which can include: Hand Hygiene, Personal Item Removal, Gowning Area Preparation, Order of Gowning, Shoe Covers, Hair Covers, Face Masks, Coveralls/Gowns, Gloves, Additional Garments, Final Inspection and maintaining proper protocols.
