Job Description

Our geotechnical engineering firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials by performing a variety of field and laboratory tests on soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
Your Responsibilities will focus on:
Conducting field density testing of soils and aggregates using nuclear density gauges (e.g., sand cone density, Proctor density). Performing in-situ testing of asphalt pavements to measure compaction and ensure compliance with project specifications. Collecting and preparing concrete and asphalt samples for laboratory analysis. Conducting a wide range of laboratory tests on soil, concrete, and asphalt samples in accordance with ASTM standards, including: Sieve analysis for soil gradation Moisture content testing Concrete slump and air content testing Asphalt density and air void testing Compressive strength testing of concrete and asphalt cylinders Analyzing test data and preparing clear and concise reports for engineers. Calibrating and maintaining laboratory and field testing equipment. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures and results. May assist with field investigations and soil sampling (depending on experience).
Qualifications:
No minimum experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license.
