Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Senior QC Inspector demonstrates proficiency within the QC department in all aspects or QC inspection with a heavy emphasis related to First Pc, Inprocess, Intermediate, Final and FAI requirements. Reports to the QC Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSNIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following: Perform dimensional and/or visual inspection to blueprints, inspection guide sheets/instructions using gauges and other inspection equipment Perform assembly and component inspections. Assess inspection methods and frequencies and assist in the initiation and execution of changes to improve inspection processes and/or procedures. Assist in continuous improvement projects to optimize inspection processes. Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and verify FAI data. Perform First PC inspections with an emphasis on MFG support. Inspection technical support and assistance to machining personnel Perform Document Review, analyze, inspect DHRs in compliance to GMP/GDP requirements prior to release to finished goods. Execute ERP transactions related to inspections. Assist in Quality investigations, provides input to correction resolution, rework, problem solving of issues, and process improvements, across multiple areas Provide on the job support and guidance to other Inspectors as needed. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to understand and apply GD&T training (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) as related to QC inspection. Demonstrated expertise related to CMM setup and operation Demonstrated expertise related to VMM setup and operation 7+ years of product inspection experience in an
ISO 13485
/ cGMP manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in inspection methods/processes, e.g. standard inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gages and comparators. Demonstrated ability to negotiate First PC inspection with the emphasis on MFG equipment schedule adherence Fully conversant with all types of gauging, including air gauging Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-based environment that heavily emphasized quality, performance, cross-training. When needed, will perform other duties as requested by the QC Supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to the basic "Machine Shop" and "Office" environments.
