In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and execution of complex coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs, ensuring precise dimensional inspection of intricate components and assemblies. Your expertise will drive quality assurance initiatives, uphold rigorous standards such as
AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO
9001, and ASME codes, and support continuous improvement efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage advanced measurement technologies and mechanical knowledge to maintain the highest levels of product quality and compliance. Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS or Calypso software for complex parts requiring high precision. Perform detailed dimensional inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines to verify component conformity. Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate inspection criteria are met. Collaborate with manufacturing and machining teams to resolve quality issues related to tooling, fixtures, or dimensional discrepancies. Conduct comprehensive quality control audits in accordance with
ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO 9001
standards, and relevant ASME codes & standards. Maintain accurate inspection records, generate detailed reports, and support root cause analysis for non-conformances. Assist in training team members on measurement techniques, calibration procedures, and quality assurance protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a CMM programmer with proficiency in PC-DMIS or Calypso software. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining processes and tooling setup. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T principles, and dimensional inspection techniques. Knowledge of quality management systems such as
ISO 9001, AS9100
aerospace standards, ISO 13485 medical device standards, and ASME codes & standards. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments including bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines. Solid understanding of CAD software like SolidWorks or general schematics interpretation for inspection planning. Excellent math skills necessary for measurement calculations and data analysis. Experience working within manufacturing environments involving CNC machining or tooling is highly desirable.
