  • Full-time Well established manufacturing company seeks Quality Assurance Production Assistant.
Company is a manufacturer of plastic film and lead based products for the nuclear power, Navy and medical industries.
Duties will include:
Responsibilities include: Work with Quality Assurance and production personnel to ensure that products are manufactured to specification. Work with production product inspectors to ensure that procedures are being followed and records are maintained. Perform physical measurements and visual inspections of products according to inspection plans, and record results on appropriate forms to complete receiving, in-process and final inspections as required. Use measuring equipment such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and other types of measuring devices as required. Communicate with production department to ensure first piece and final inspections are performed in a timely manner. Occasionally work producing products on manufacturing floor. Collect raw material samples and perform testing (seam strength, tensile, etc.) as required by test plans, and record results on appropriate forms or prepares samples for submission to outside testing facilities. Work with production department and personnel to document Nonconformance Reports for any product, material, or process nonconformance and perform root cause analysis for Corrective Actions. Write and submit reports confirming inspections and status of manufactured products, and proof reports submitted by others. Maintain calibration program of all measuring tools including logging and maintaining calibration records and ensuring that measuring equipment is in good condition and in calibration. Read and interpret engineering drawings. Use of Microsoft office programs and ERP software and lean manufacturing. Able to lift 50 pounds. Other duties as assigned.
