Job Description

Position Summary:
The FSQA Technician II monitors the production processes to ensure product is within food and safety quality standards. What you'll do: Monitor current procedures to assure compliance, reporting any findings to QA management. Performing pre-operational, operational and food safety (HACCP) checks and report deficiencies. Support USDA/FDA/regulatory inspections as required. Put non-conforming product or unsanitary processing equipment on HOLD status. Perform technical operations such as collecting shelf life samples, water samples and regulatory/USDA samples and following prescribed GMP's and sample collection SOP. Accurate documentation of daily records. Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Assurance area according to SOP. Participate in preparation for food safety audits. Basic cleaning of the lab including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning the counters. Assist in production and packaging where needed to learn and understand the entire process. Performs inspection procedures at frequencies identified in programs, procedures, and specifications. Perform all other duties as assigned About you: Associates degree or equivalent food processing experience preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Good communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done Able to take direction and work independently Ability to work in a cold environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
