Job Description

Position Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process by inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. This role ensures products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and internal quality standards through visual inspection, precision measurement, and documentation of inspection results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Approve incoming materials by verifying specifications and conducting visual and dimensional inspections.
  • Reject and return unacceptable materials according to quality procedures.
  • Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications and performing visual and measurement testing.
  • Communicate required adjustments or non-conformances to production supervisors and operators.
  • Approve finished products through final inspection and testing.
  • Identify non-conforming products and coordinate rework activities as needed.
  • Verify and confirm completion of rework prior to release.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports, logs, and quality records.
  • Summarize rework, scrap, and waste data for reporting purposes.
  • Enter inspection and quality data into company databases and systems.
  • Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions and coordinating repairs or calibration when required.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to read blueprints/engineering prints and interpret geometric tolerances and specifications.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments including: o Calipers o Micrometers o Bore gages o Height gages o Vision systems
  • Prior experience using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and/or multi-sensor vision measuring systems preferred.
  • Fluent in both imperial and metric measurement systems.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and trigonometry.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Safety shoes and safety glasses are required at all times.
  • Occasional hearing protection required.
  • Work is performed 100% in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to oils, grease, machine noise, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday as required
Pay:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
