Quality Inspector

$20-$22 per hour Corning, NY Contract

• Job Description:

• Seeking Quality Technician with experience performing inspections, measurements, and quality control activities in a manufacturing environment. Skilled in interpreting technical documentation, using measurement tools, maintaining inspection records, and supporting process improvement initiatives.

• Key Responsibilities:

• + Perform visual inspections and measurements on incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Materials will include both refractory and sheet metal. + Identify and report any non-conformances or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel. + Conduct regular inspections of production processes to monitor quality control parameters and identify areas for improvement. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. + Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and documentation. + Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements. + Support the department's safety initiatives, apply knowledge of industrial safety standards, and identify health hazards.

• Experience
• : + Able to interpret technical documentation (e.

g. specifications, design prints, SOPs, etc.) + Proficient in using hand measurement tools and equipment. + Strong knowledge of quality control methods, practices, and procedures. + High attention to detail. + Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. + Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. + Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Desired Skills
• + Previous manufacturing experience + Metal fabrication and welding knowledge + Metrology experience (e.g. CMM, vision systems, 3D scanning, etc.) + Solidworks/CAD understanding

• Required Skills:

• Education:

• + High school Diploma
