Night Scale Operator

Job Title :

Night Scale Operator Overview:

We are currently seeking a night shift Scale Operator for our Cortland, NY location. Schedule will be Sunday-Friday 5pm to 5:30am.

Safety Expectations:

All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

Operation of scale to weigh trucks as they enter and exit facility Record keeping Assist drivers loading trucks with asphalt Make and load oil

Required Skills/Abilities:

Reliable transportation to and from work site Strong work ethic Strong math skills Physical Organization and time management Flexibility in hours - overtime and weekend hours may be necessary Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted Consent to a DMV license evaluation Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10

Hour Safety Certificate Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting

Other Preferred Qualities:

Ability to read and understand SDS Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) High school diploma or GED - a two year technical degree Basic math Run forklift (training preferred) Position is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru March time-frame. Site specific locations may have varying seasonal requirements that can extend or contract these timeframes.

Salary Range :

$19-$20
