Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in a controlled manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing inspections and testing throughout the production process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will be dependable, analytical, and comfortable working with measuring tools and technical documentation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain quality control objectives according to standard operating procedures Perform inspection activities throughout the production cycle Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing on materials, parts, and finished products Measure product performance, material characteristics, and product reliability Record and maintain accurate inspection and testing data Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and related equipment Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, and standard operating procedures Analyze and troubleshoot quality-related issues Ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality standards Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Six months to one year of related quality control or manufacturing experience preferred Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered Skills & Abilities Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, drawings, and specifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Ability to interpret diagrams and compute specification ranges Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities Ability to work independently and follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit and use hands to handle products and equipment Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required Work Environment This position operates within a controlled manufacturing environment. Employees are expected to follow all workplace safety and environmental guidelines. $18.00 per hour
