Scale Operator

Not Just a Desk Job — We Need Someone Who Can Do Both We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to run the scale house and handle basic aggregate testing. This role is critical to keeping production accurate, customers moving, and material meeting spec.

What You'll Be Doing Scale Operations:

Weighing inbound/outbound trucks and issuing tickets Managing truck flow and communicating with drivers Handling data entry, recordkeeping, and daily reports Assisting with dispatch and phone communication

Aggregate Testing:

Sampling materials (sand, gravel, stone) Performing basic tests (gradation/sieve analysis, moisture, etc.) Recording and reporting test results accurately Working with plant/operators to maintain material quality What We Expect High attention to detail — mistakes cost money here Ability to multitask between scale traffic and lab/field work Comfortable working indoors and outdoors Basic computer skills (data entry, reports, email) Reliable, consistent attendance — this is a key role Willingness to learn testing procedures (training available if needed) Able to lift 50lbs What You Get Competitive pay (we pay more for experience) Steady, year-round work Overtime during peak season Skill development in both operations and material testing Opportunity to grow into quality control or dispatch roles Bonus If You Have Previous scale house or weighmaster experience Experience with aggregate or construction materials testing Familiarity with sieve analysis or lab procedures Background in construction, quarry, or asphalt/concrete operations
