Summary:
The Quality Line Inspector I is responsible for conducting both Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions to ensure finished goods are within specification and documentation is complete and correct. Assists in the development, improvement and implementation of current and new processes and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promote a safe working environment and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, company safety rules, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) at all times. Responsible for enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) on the production floor.
  • Identify product to be produced and complete the required forms.
  • Issue product code(s), Line ID tags, fill weights.
  • Perform and document in-process inspections according to required frequency.
  • Verify all components to be used against Bill of Material (BOM).
  • Verify Equipment Sanitization Tags during first Audit/Inspections.
  • Provide visual line standards prior to line start-up.
  • Request and create temporary standard.
  • Compare finished products against line standard and take corrective action as needed.
  • Inspect for finished product attributes and ensure that they meet quality standards.
  • Report on quality problems or findings to Quality management and follow up to ensure that the correct action has/will take place.
  • Collect all required samples for QC Lab i.e.: Microbiological testing, Analytical lab, retention, customer, etc.
  • Accept or reject the finished good product.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school education or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area. Maintains housekeeping in conformance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Good time-management skills
  • Good English communications skills: speaking, reading, and writing.
  • PC Knowledge i.e. MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is preferred.
  • Ability to work long hours during peak season or special schedules as needed to satisfy job requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task and follow through on project assignments.
  • Ability to quickly remedy procedural problems.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Communicates and collaborates with management.
