Job Description
Summary:
Perform inspections and tests of all vendor procured items and services used in the manufacturer of deliverable hardware in accordance with the applicable specifications, purchase order requirements and procedures. Essential Functions and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned) :- Perform inspections and tests on various types of purchased surface mount and discrete electrical components, sheet metal, materials and related outside services used in the production of products.
- Perform inspections and tests employing inspection and test procedures, checklists, drawings, catalogs and purchase order requirements.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records of inspection results along with the appropriate certificates, test data and other related documentation that provides evidence of compliance.
- Perform inspections, tests and maintain records for all customer/ government supplied parts, and material.
- Perform First Article Inspection's on all header's, cover's and on mechanical materials provided by new vendors.
- Accurately identify and document all non-conformance in a detailed and timely manner.
- Perform In-Process inspections on Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
- Perform In-Process inspection for discrete wiring of Power Supplies
- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheet books
Scanning of H and K Level Element Evaluation Documentation Secondary Functions:
- Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required.
Position Specifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years experience performing incoming electrical-mechanical inspections of hybrid components, materials and related outside services in a military manufacturing environment.
- High School Graduate
- Any college or technical school a plus
- Must be able to interpret blue print drawings, catalogs and be capable of performing basic metrology.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills, such as adding, subtracting, and decimal numbers
- Must be computer literate
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Capable of using basic measuring and test equipment
- Must be familiar with Mil-Std-883, Mil PRF 38534, and J Std 001A.
Environmental:
- Must have vision capability that enable reading and viewing of a computer screen
- Must be capable of using a microscope with 7x to 200x magnification for visual inspections
- Must be capable of using hands to handle small and large objects
- Must be capable of occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs
- Must have knowledge of using calipers and a multimeter.
