Framing Carpenter - Modular Construction Bill Lake Modular Homes is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our expert modular construction team in Sprakers, NY. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all modular home units meet internal and external quality standards, building codes, and customer specifications throughout the manufacturing process. The QC Inspector conducts inspections at various stages of production, print set deviations, and collaborates with the production team to drive quality improvements and ensure compliance.

What You'll Do:

Conduct inspections throughout the various stages of the production process from framing to finishes to final completion and preparation for delivery, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and finish work. Verify the adherence to building codes (local and state, per the approvals), safety standards, and Bill Lake Modular Homes building practices and specifications. Verify adherence to design specifications, stamped print sets, and customer requirements. Maintain accurate records of all inspections, including defects found, corrective actions taken, and final inspection results to ensure documentation compliance. Create and manage quality control checklists and inspections forms both internally and externally, when necessary. Submit regular reports to the QC Manager regarding quality, recurring issues, and potential areas of concern with recommendations for resolutions. Collaborate and communicate with production supervisors, engineering and other departments to ensure that all materials, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and structural components, and craftsmanship used to complete construction meet the expected quality of the Bill Lake Modular Homes, Local and State standards. Identify areas and opportunities for improving product quality and production processes. Assist in conducting internal audits of quality control procedures and suggest solutions to refine quality assurance protocols to improve quality and efficiency. Load houses with ship loose materials based on load sheets provided by QC Manager. Conduct load inspections based on load sheets provided by the QC Manager. Complete final walkthroughs before shipping modular boxes ensuring the quality of the finished product meets the standards of Bill Lake Modular Homes. Ensure all inspections are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA standards. Promote and support a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement in the quality control environment.

What You Bring:

1+ years of construction experience (preferred but not required). High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Proficiency with hand and power tools. Strong work ethic with consistent attendance and reliability. Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding. Valid driver's license (preferred). Personal hand tools (preferred).
