In this role, your metrology expertise ensures every casting, fabrication, assembly, and machined part conforms exactly to print—because lives and missions depend on it. Mission Validate conformance to specifications and blueprints using CMMs and precision instruments Apply shop mathematics to compute angles, radii, and other derived dimensions Lead first-article/first-run inspections and produce rigorous, readable reports Lay out centerlines and reference points on surface plates to establish accurate datums Analyze nonconforming product, determine likely causes, and recommend process or design improvements When and how you'll work First shift opportunity 10-hour days beginning between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. What you bring High school diploma or GED Two years of inspection experience preferred, ideally in aerospace/defense manufacturing Training in SPC data collection and evaluation preferred Hands-on proficiency with standard metrology tools in a production setting Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to drive effective actions Eye Examination minimum requirement - Jaeger 1 at 12" with corrective lenses and the Ishihara Color Blindness Test. Exams are required on an annual basis. Technical fluency
