Full Job Description Scope of Job:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring product produced meets safety, regulatory, and company quality standards through testing on raw material, in-process checks, finished good testing and daily audits of the facility. Quality Assurance Technicians are responsible for reporting out of specification data to supervisors as well as responsible departments.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Provide suggestions / strategies to help maintain consistent and quality products. Perform analysis on in process batches to ensure compliance to tech standards. Perform analysis of raw materials to ensure ingredients are received within specifications. Perform post incubation testing of finished goods to confirm commercial sterility. Perform seal inspection and lab analysis of MRE items (Creek facility only) Escalate out of specification results to supervisor and responsible departments. Set up, participate, and clear daily sensory Monitor ingredient storage in warehouse for proper rotation and usage of materials including proper storage based on allergen and ingredient type. Perform daily audits (as scheduled) to ensure systems and policy compliance including line audits. Support continuous improvement activities as needed. Collaborate with production and support departments to ensure food safety and the quality of our products. Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. An associate's degree is preferred.
Experience:
minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a quality assurance or quality control role in manufacturing required. Food industry experience is preferred. Proficient in utilizing Microsoft suites including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
