KDP Careers - Columbus Quality Technician III - Columbus, OH We are seeking a Quality Technician III to join our team and support the plant's Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs. This role is responsible for performing validation and verification activities during the shift and ensuring adherence to the Food Safety Management System in collaboration with Quality, Operations, and Maintenance teams.
Shift & Schedule:
This is a full time position on 3rd shift Monday - Friday 9:00pm - 5:30am. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled. Key Responsibilities Uphold and promote a safety-first culture in all activities Conduct line audits and review documentation with comprehensive knowledge of production lines Apply expert knowledge of quality procedures and plant-wide standards Work independently with a high degree of initiative and professionalism Train and mentor junior quality technicians in a collaborative environment Lead and resolve quality issues with sound decision-making, balancing product integrity and financial impact Communicate effectively with vendors regarding quality concerns Assess substandard batches and determine appropriate corrective actions Lead VMS audits and support QA aspects of plant trials
Total Rewards:
Pay starting at $27.01 per hour + $0.75

Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in a science or technical field (preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience in a food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, GMPs, and
HACCP/HARPC
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Basic ability to manage emails using Microsoft Outlook, including organizing emails, scheduling calendar appointments, and using search functions to find information. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formatting, using simple formulas and functions, and performing sort and filter operations Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Prepare reagents and solutions for use in testing Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently Frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, twisting, and overhead reaching Ability to stand for long periods on the manufacturing floor Willingness to work in multiple departments and extended/flexible hours as needed Certifications & Training Better Process Control School certified Completed Lean Six Sigma (Yellow, White, and Lean Belt) AIB Food Sanitation certified
