Job Description

General Purpose of the
Job:
Quality technician investigates and analyzes measurement methods used to ensure that the quality level of product produced meets established standards. Act as a contact point in manufacturing for the production group, by providing directions relating to part quality expectations. Involved in the quality of supplied parts, work in progress and final product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. QA Tech is responsible for quality inspection of products and material including (but not limited to) incoming, in process, final inspection & returned material inspection. 2. Coordinate the containment and inspection of final products prior to shipment to the customer as needed. 3. Own the WIP and Quarantine stored at site location: maintain areas, logs, and coordinate sorts/ rework. 4. Perform tests on materials, parts, or products measuring performance or material characteristics, as required. 5. Conducts investigation of failures, incidents, and deviations to assure that root causes are identified, and appropriate corrective action and preventative actions are taken and/or implemented. 6. Red Rack disposition and identification of key improvement areas 7. Write Supplier Concern Reports (SCR) and follow up through closure. 8. Maintain internal data/records relating to the quality, nature, and causes of defects. 9. Verifies quality checks on an ongoing basis for proper appearance, weight, and torque and identifies discrepancies and initiates resolution. 10. Managing inventory from Quality perspective including coordinating non-conforming product to suppliers 11. Represent Quality with all production areas or with suppliers.
  • Support line issues as related to SQCDM.
  • Respond to QCN's or associate notifications for quality or supplier-related issues.
  • Communicate supplier related issues via GSQA and SCR system.
12. Daily communicates and coordinates with internal customers to handle all quality issues, holds, releases, special projects/requests, and information requests. 13. Support Audits, KSA Inspectors, lab activities and projects as needed.

$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
