Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Project Specialist to support ingredient quality, supplier compliance, and quality assurance initiatives within a regulated food and nutrition environment. This position will work closely with Quality, R&D, Procurement, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure ingredient compliance, manage supplier changes, and maintain accurate quality documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline who are looking to grow their career in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage supplier change notifications and track activities through completion. Support ingredient qualification and supplier compliance programs. Review quality documentation and maintain accurate records for traceability. Conduct supplier and manufacturing paperwork audits. Coordinate cross-functional reviews involving Quality, R&D, Procurement, Operations, and Supply Chain teams. Evaluate quality and compliance impacts of supplier changes. Analyze quality data and prepare reports for stakeholders. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and quality process enhancements. Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to internal teams. Support implementation of approved supplier and ingredient changes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Microbiology, Biology, Food Technology, or a related scientific field. 1-3 years of experience in a regulated food, nutrition, beverage, ingredient, or manufacturing environment. Understanding of ingredient quality standards and supplier compliance processes. Experience with quality documentation, audits, compliance activities, or quality systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Food Safety, Regulatory Affairs, or Compliance. Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, quality systems, and food industry regulations. Experience working with ingredient suppliers or raw material qualification processes. Exposure to supplier audits, change management, CAPA, or quality investigations.
