Location:
Cuyahoga Falls, OH Picture your first week inside a 75+ year strong machining operation that supports aerospace, defense, automotive, and commercial markets. You walk past 42 humming machines (with more on the way), join a 130-person team known for long tenure, and step into a role where your precision mindset shapes every part that ships. A day in this role Begin by verifying calibration on the CMM and Faro arm, then review drawings and specs for the day's first-article checks. Run first article, in-process, and final inspections using
CMM/FARO
plus calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and V-blocks to confirm conformance to customer and internal requirements. Document measurements, observations, and any nonconformances. Generate clear inspection reports for each batch. Collaborate with machinists to resolve out-of-spec conditions and drive corrective actions. Assist with equipment calibration schedules and records to keep metrology tools audit-ready. You'll primarily operate CMM and/or Faro inspection equipment; light PCDMIS programming support may be needed. Schedule and overtime Opportunities exist on both 1st and 2nd shift. Hours are flexible, and overtime is common—most teammates work 50-60 hours per week. What you'll bring High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).
AS9100 & ISO 9001
experience is necessary. At least 1 year as a Mechanical or Quality Control Inspector in a CNC machine shop or similar manufacturing setting. Fluency in reading blueprints/engineering drawings and technical specifications. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques. Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and independent problem solving. Clear communication and the ability to collaborate across functions.
