Visual Inspector (Nights)

Scope of Responsibility:

This position is responsible for inspecting tacked, welded, painted, galvanized and manufactured parts and components for quality per the Company's quality control processes and procedures.

Essential Duties:

Communicates clearly and concisely via email, text, or verballyEnsures all inspections comply with Sabre's quality standardsConducts in process and final visual weld and dimensional inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1Verifies and maintains inspection and test status of product during all stages of manufacturingVerifies rework and repair of nonconforming productsInitiates requests for corrective action on observed conditions which do not conform to quality system requirementsPrepares, reviews and maintains Quality records appropriate to inspection and test activities to assure legibility, completeness, and correctness of the informationVisually inspects manufactured parts to ensure they are manufactured per the drawings/specificationsEnsures that customer requirements are determined and met or exceededContributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in area of operationContributes to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as neededMaintains a professional demeanor at all timesAdditional duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Two-year Associate/Technical degree preferred. Must be able to meet the

AWS D1.1

requirements of a visual weld inspector.

Recent experience working with Quality Control in a welding/manufacturing environment preferredEffectively read and interpret blueprints and weld symbolsMust possess strong English verbal and written communication skillsMust be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, team environmentMust possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety and quality manuals, blueprints, and design drawingsAbility to efficiently input and retrieve information from PC based information systemsAbility to effectively use measuring devices such as a tape measure, combination squares, levels, etc. to accurately verify all parts to printRegular and timely attendance is required

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform work functions while standing for long periods of time.

Must be able to lift, push pry and drag heavy materials up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to reach, grasp, bend, stoop, crawl under or climb over to inspect productMust be able to pass the Jaeger 2 test and distinguish between red and yellowMust be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, and in all types of weather conditions such as rain, snow, heat, and cold At Sabre Industries, we invest in your future with a competitive benefits program.
