Job Description

Shift:
8am - 5pm
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying that all front-end loader attachments, including buckets and couplers, meet company quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves reviewing blueprints and work orders, performing in-process and final inspections, and ensuring parts are manufactured within required tolerances. The inspector works closely with fitters, welders, and supervisors to identify defects, address quality issues, and prevent rework. Additional responsibilities include documenting inspection results, maintaining quality records, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of fabrication processes, and a commitment to safety and quality are essential to succeed for this role.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings. Experience with inspection processes in a fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, levels, calipers, and other inspection equipment. Basic understanding of welding and fabrication processes, including fit-up and weld quality. Ability to identify defects, nonconformances, and out-of-tolerance conditions. Strong documentation skills, including recording inspection results and maintaining quality records. Ability to communicate effectively with production employees and supervisors to address quality issues. Must be able to work in a fast-paced shop environment and meet production deadlines. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and inspect large steel components. Commitment to following all safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
Pay:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
