Job Description
Job Summary Barret Paving Materials MWC is looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our crew as Asphalt QA/QC Technicians. In this role, you will help ensure the quality and performance of materials used to build and maintain roadways by conducting testing and inspections in both field and lab settings. Main Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
- Conduct tests on aggregates, asphalt, and concrete using proper tools and methods
- Accurately document testing results and maintain detailed quality records
- Monitor production activities to ensure materials meet required specifications
- Identify quality issues and partner with production and engineering teams to resolve them
- Support the development and improvement of quality control processes
- Follow all safety standards and best practices during testing and inspections
- Collaborate with team members across departments on quality-related initiatives
- Participate in audits and evaluations of quality control procedures Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in quality assurance/quality control, ideally in construction or paving materials
- Understanding of quality control processes, testing methods, and industry standards
- Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with team members and other departments Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a related field (such as engineering or materials science)
