Job Description

Quality Control Specialist PPG Industries, Inc 401(k) 4829 Fairland Road (Show on map) Jun 03, 2026 As a Quality Control Specialist, you will assist the Department Quality Manager with maintaining the Silica Area Quality Systems. You will conduct daily quality status reviews and reporting, segregation of non-conforming products to ensure completeness of all required QA testing, perform testing where required, and maintain production to visual standards. You will be onsite in Barberton, OH and report to the Teslin and Silicia Quality Manager. Responsibilities:
Maintain production to visual standards Retain packaging and management Quality contact for operational quality related issues Participate in and / lead quality action teams focused on solving quality problems Conduct quality improvement meetings Own and maintain electronic lab database (SAP) MSA - Measurement System Analysis Document control system owner Help maintain and promote compliance to the
ISO 9001
2015, FSSC 22000/GMP+ standard Administer retain and sample system Manage audit system Maintain quality calibration Ensure completeness of testing program Monitor quality of raw material Support maintenance and troubleshooting of quality control production equipment
Qualifications:
High school diploma required, higher education preferred 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/industrial setting OR experience in a quality assurance role. Mechanically inclined and demonstrate a high degree of process and equipment troubleshooting skills Experience with Sigma Logic (Six Sigma) and Lean manufacturing principles is desired. PPG /PPG
