Quality Control Inspector

Quality Inspector position at Weldon Pump is a permanent position with an established 80+ year old company. Looking for a proficient inspector. Salary commensurate with experience.

Basic Function :

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for: Using correct gages for the product being inspected. Using proper documentation to record findings/inspection criteria. Understanding the characteristics being inspected and the equipment assigned to the task. Understanding and utilizing internal documents.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Interpret and support drawings, quality policies, procedures and work instructions. Should have working ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerance (GD&T). Can set-up most standard inspection gages for use in checking parts per inspection sheets and blueprint dimensions. Must be able to set-up and use optical comparators, vision systems, testers, indicating micrometers, gage blocks, Sunnen gages and other master measuring equipment independently. Can read and interpret work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes, and any other inspection parameters Perform internal audits as requested by Quality Assurance Manager. Create FAI or PPAP as needed Assures calibration system is current and maintained.

CMM:

(Zeiss experience preferred) Continuous mental and visual attention, usually repetitive work or diversified operations requiring constant alertness or activity. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Departmental Relationships:
