Job Description

About Us We are a growing precision manufacturing company supporting aerospace, defense, and industrial customers. Our parts require tight tolerances, detailed inspection, and accurate documentation. We are seeking a CMM Programmer / Inspector who can program, run, and interpret CMM inspections while supporting overall quality and inspection activities on the shop floor. Position Summary The CMM Programmer / Inspector will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), performing dimensional inspections, and generating accurate inspection reports. This role is hands-on and works closely with machining, quality, and engineering to ensure parts meet drawing and specification requirements. Key Responsibilities Program and operate CMM equipment (Wenzel, Keyence) for dimensional inspection Develop inspection routines based on engineering drawings and GD&T Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications Generate and review inspection reports and dimensional results Verify part conformance and identify nonconformances Support root cause investigations related to dimensional issues Maintain inspection records and documentation Calibrate and verify inspection equipment as required Assist with manual inspection using hand tools as needed (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) Work with manufacturing and engineering to resolve inspection or tolerance concerns Maintain a clean and organized inspection area Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a CMM Programmer and/or Inspector Experience programming and running CMMs Strong understanding of GD&T Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings Experience performing first article and production inspections High attention to detail and documentation accuracy Preferred Qualifications Experience with common CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar) Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined parts Aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing experience AS9100 or
ISO 9001
