Job Title:
Quality Control Technician Job Description The Quality Control Technician supports the Quality Department by performing inspections, testing, product marking, and documentation to ensure products consistently meet established quality and safety standards. This hands-on role works directly with physical products in a loud manufacturing environment and requires strong attention to detail, reliable documentation practices, and a commitment to safe work habits. Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections on products to verify they meet quality and safety specifications. Conduct basic testing using tools and testing equipment in a manufacturing or laboratory-style setting. Read and interpret blueprints and related technical documentation to understand product requirements. Accurately document inspection and test results using basic computer systems and established quality forms. Mark and label products according to inspection status and quality standards. Handle and work with physical products, tools, and testing equipment safely and efficiently. Follow established QA/QC procedures and inspection protocols to maintain consistency and compliance. Support clean and organized work areas, including cleanroom or lab-adjacent spaces where required. Collaborate with production and quality team members to communicate nonconformances and support corrective actions. Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail in inspection, testing, and documentation activities. Basic inspection and documentation skills in a production or manufacturing setting. Ability to read and understand blueprints or technical drawings. Comfort working hands-on with physical products, tools, and testing equipment. Basic computer skills for entering and maintaining quality documentation. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Exposure to carbon steel, pipe, or heavy manufacturing environments. Previous lab or testing experience in a production, quality, or laboratory setting. Knowledge of QA/QC principles and inspection practices. Experience in cleanroom, production, or laboratory environments. Technical or trade education related to engineering, materials, or quality. Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a loud manufacturing environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates in a loud manufacturing environment where you work directly with physical products, tools, and testing equipment. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday in 10-hour shifts, totaling 40 guaranteed hours per week, with overtime available as needed. The role follows a split schedule with two days per week on day shift and two days per week on night shift, and a 10% shift premium applies when working nights. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Enid, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
