Final Inspection Quality Inspector Franklin Electric - 3.5 Oklahoma City, OK Job Details Full-time $21 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Description The Final Inspection Quality Inspector is responsible for performing final inspections of molded plastic parts prior to shipment to customers. This role ensures that all products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and internal procedures. The inspector identifies defects, verifies documentation, and ensures only conforming parts are released for shipment. Key Responsibilities Perform final visual and dimensional inspections of plastic injection molded parts prior to shipment Verify parts meet customer specifications, drawings, control plans, and quality standards Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming products Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and visual aids as required Complete inspection records, checklists, and quality documentation accurately Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and part identification before shipment Communicate quality issues to Quality, Production, and Shipping personne Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection standards Maintain a clean and organized inspection area Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives Comply with all safety policies and procedures Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise Skills and Abilities Ability to read and understand work instructions, part prints, and specifications Basic understanding of quality concepts and defect identification Attention to detail with strong visual inspection skills Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation Ability to work independently and follow established procedures Education and Experience Equivalent of four years of high school (required). Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience in plastic injection molding strongly preferred Computer Skills Experience with using a scanner preferred Certificates and Licenses Forklift certification preferred
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is: Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; and grip with hand or fingers. Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.; push or pull; sit; bend or twist; stoop or crouch; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension; activate foot control. Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100lbs.; stand; walk; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; use upper extremities. The employee must continually lift or move 10lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with occasional accurate depth perception and distance viewing. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance. Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This position is subjected to harmful environmental conditions and is located in a manufacturing type environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position is Frequently exposed to extreme heat, vibration, and moving mechanical hazard; and Infrequently exposed to wet/humid conditions. This job consists of shift work up to 10 hours per day and may be required to work overtime as needed.
